Director of Quality
Location: Woodridge, IL Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM; OT as needed Salary: $135,000–$175,000 base + bonus (based on experience) Role Summary
Randstad USA is hiring a Director of Quality for a growing household cleaner manufacturer in Woodridge, IL. This is a full-time, direct hire leadership role responsible for owning the site Quality Management System and driving quality performance across raw materials, production, finished goods, suppliers, and customer relationships. This role partners closely with Operations, R&D, Procurement, Regulatory, and Sales to reduce defects, improve consistency, lower cost of poor quality, and maintain audit readiness year-round. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred) 7–12+ years of Quality leadership experience in manufacturing Experience in regulated or high-volume production environments Strong background in QC testing, lab operations, batch manufacturing, packaging, CAPA, and SOPs Proven leadership and cross‑functional communication skills Preferred Background
Household cleaners, CPG, chemical manufacturing, or cosmetics Experience with liquid blending, filling lines, and labeling/packaging systems Familiarity with surfactants, solvents, fragrances, and performance testing Bilingual Spanish is a plus, not required Compensation & Benefits

Quality Leadership & Strategy
Own site quality strategy, KPIs, and performance Lead and develop QA/QC and lab teams Drive accountability, documentation, and continuous improvement Manufacturing Quality Controls
Oversee quality controls for mixing, filling, packaging, and warehousing Manage inspections for raw materials, in‑process, and finished goods Maintain product specs, sampling plans, and acceptance criteria Compliance & Regulatory Support
Support GMP and customer quality requirements Maintain batch records, COAs, SOPs, and retention samples Partner on SDS and labeling compliance Corrective Actions & CAPA
Lead defect and customer complaint investigations Own CAPA and root cause analysis (5‑Why, Fishbone) Reduce scrap, rework, downtime, and returns Supplier & Customer Quality
Qualify suppliers and manage supplier performance Lead supplier, customer, and third‑party audits Serve as primary Quality contact and ensure audit readiness Continuous Improvement
Partner with Operations to reduce variation and improve yield Track quality metrics and COPQ Drive standard work, training, and automation improvements Skills
