Position Summary The Carlyle Group seeks to hire an Associate as a Product Specialist within the Global Credit Investor Relations team. The position will support Senior Credit Product Specialists in managing fundraise processes and handling investor requests across Carlyle’s growing Credit business with a focus on Carlyle’s Asset Backed Finance business. This is an exciting time to join Carlyle’s ABF Product Specialist team, as the platform is rapidly scaling and launching several new fundraising initiatives across a dynamic and growing business. Select interaction with existing limited partners and potential investors is expected. This successful candidate must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure in a deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities Responsibilities include:

High involvement in the drafting of marketing materials for various private credit funds

Support development of due diligence materials and legal documentation

Support ongoing and ad-hoc investor requests

Work on case studies and portfolio updates with the investment teams

Market research from Preqin and other sources

Maintenance of data room materials and investor access

Maintenance of investor pipelines and diligence request trackers

Work with Credit Sales team on roadshow calendars, diligence sessions and meeting support

Liaise with Fund Management to produce data requests and reporting materials

Maintenance of fund level / portfolio level talking points

Work on various ad-hoc internal and external presentations

CRM Maintenance

Maintain fundraise trackers on DealCloud

Monitor data room access process

Assist in DealCloud coordination of large scale-diligence events

Ad hoc report requests (e.g. pulling list of investors for a specific fund etc.)

Investor Meetings and Events Assist with onsite investor meetings and conferences by:

Coordinating with the Credit Sales, Credit Product and investment teams to schedule road shows with investors

Preparing meeting agenda and presentation materials and organizing prep sessions

Develop and maintain professional relationships with Sales, Fund Management, Legal and Compliance

Qualifications Education & Certificates

Series 7 and 63 preferred

Professional Experience

2-4 years of relevant experience required

Preferred Experience includes: Investor relations or business development at a private credit investment firm; investment banking/capital markets/asset management role

A strong understanding of financial markets and experience with private credit strategies

Excellent computer skills, including ability to learn and become the subject matter expert in the systems used to respond to investor and Senior Credit Product Specialist requests

Experience executing fundraising initiatives focused on private wealth is preferred.

Self-Starter, with the ability to work well under pressure

Strong interpersonal skills

Strong organizational skills and detail oriented; attention to detail

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team

Position-specific Technical Requirements

Advanced Microsoft Office (including Excel and PowerPoint) skills required

CRM system including DealCloud is preferred

Ability to quickly develop competency in manipulating various reporting platforms and systems to obtain usable LP data

The compensation range for this role is specific to New York City and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $150,000.

Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
