Activities Coordinator/Assistant Responsibilities

Coordinate & assist in the development and oversight of resident activities as the Assistant to the Director of Celebrations. Plan, schedule and conduct programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for our residents in our community. Attend ALL community planned functions and coordinate the event from beginning to end including set-up, running, and breaking down for the event. Assist in preparing and organizing a calendar of events. Must be willing to work flexible hours (Evenings and Saturdays) for planned activity events. Regular Schedule - Full Time: Tu - Sat, 9a-5p Qualifications & Experience

Associate’s Degree in social work, recreation, sociology or related field, preferred. One to three years experience working in Senior Living, strongly preferred. Experience with event planning & coordination, required. Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with, encourage, and motivate Senior adults. Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, required. Experience using Senior Activity Mobile Apps, such as: UniGuest, LifeLoop or other. Demonstrated artistic & creative abilities. Strong skills in organization, delegation and consensus building. CDL-B (P) Drivers License is a PLUS!
