The Role
As Yubico’s Director, Global Social Media and Influencer Relations, you’ll be the voice, vibe, and virtual handshake of our established brand that has been built and thoughtfully curated over the years. Your mission? Build on the great work by growing, maintaining, and protecting Yubico’s public image across all our owned and earned social channels. You\'ll craft strategies based not only on proven success, but on instinct. You’ll create scroll-stopping content and keep your finger on the pulse of what\'s trending. This role demands a creative, data-driven leader who knows their way around X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, BlueSky and YouTube like a pro. You’ll also be able and willing to embrace the rollercoaster of social, embracing new platforms you deem relevant. You\'ll need to juggle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and keep our brand fresh and responsive in the ever-evolving social media landscape. This also includes leading and helping grow our expanding Influencer program. You’ll report to the Vice President of Global Communications, collaborating closely with teams around the world.
Responsibilities
- Build out and execute strategies for growing engagement and followers across all social media platforms.
- Create, edit, and oversee high-quality, engaging content that makes people stop scrolling.
- Reshape and revitalize the company's YouTube presence—add personality, grow followers, and transform it into the go-to resource for staying secure online.
- Collaborate with global influencers to amplify our brand messaging and expand our reach.
- Manage and mentor a comms team member, helping them grow into bigger influencer relations and general comms rockstar.
- Analyze performance metrics to refine strategies, optimize engagement, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and voice across all platforms.
- Cross-company collaboration is key—employees are some of the biggest social media influencers out there.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 12+ years of experience in social media management with a proven track record of building followings, increasing engagement, and driving brand awareness for global brands.
- Strong content creation and editing skills with an eye for detail and an ear for what resonates.
- Demonstrated success in working with influencers and managing these partnerships globally.
- Experience leading and managing high-performing social media teams.
- Expertise in platform-specific strategies for X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Deep understanding of social media analytics tools and the ability to tell a story with data.
- A proactive, "always-on" approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Passion for cybersecurity and a desire to make the internet a safer, smarter place.

Compensation
$170,000 - $190,000 a year
Yubico offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work. This role has the annual salary range of $170,000 to $190,000 for a candidate located in the San Francisco Bay Area. For roles that are filled in other locations, the compensation range will be based on data provided by the Radford McLagan Compensation Database from Aon. Final compensation is also based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
