My client is a rapidly growing RIA platform dedicated to providing high-quality investment solutions for advisors and clients. As we continue to scale, we are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Investments to lead our investment operations, trading, and research teams.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the Director of Investments will oversee all aspects of our investment platform, including trading, billing/audit functions, investment research, and advisor-facing initiatives. This is a senior leadership position requiring both strategic vision and hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all trading and investment operations.
- Build, mentor, and manage the investment research team.
- Supervise equity SMA and options overlay programs, asset allocation strategies, and portfolio construction.
- Oversee billing and audit operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with advisors and clients, providing clear insights and market commentary.
- Drive innovation in systems, reporting, and investment programs across the platform.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience managing an investment platform at a mid-sized RIA.
- Direct experience working with independent advisors.
- Strong track record in asset allocation strategies and investment operations.
- Hands-on proficiency with Orion, Black Diamond, or similar PMS; Schwab or similar custodial platforms; advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg or FactSet is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to instill confidence in advisors, clients, and internal teams.
