Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze project documents for risk, schedule, and profitability.
  • Review plans/specs and prepare complete, accurate bid proposals.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for materials, subcontractors, and crews.
  • Compare current bids to historical data and manage post‑bid documentation.
  • Lead estimator teams on complex projects and develop subcontracting plans.
  • Build and manage project budgets and documentation.
  • Communicate with owners, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Visit project sites to evaluate methods and progress.

Requirements

To be considered, preferred applicants should present the following:

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Skilled in construction means/methods and production for structures, roadways, sitework, and utilities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and attention to detail.
  • 5+ years in heavy highway estimating/project management and in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of union agreements and alternate delivery methods (e.g., Design Build).
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Blue Beam, Heavy Bid.
  • Ability to deliver winning, value‑driven bids.
