In addition to base pay, this position may include performance-based salary increases. About The Role We are seeking an individual who will provide administrative support to an assigned Commercial Loan Officer(s) by assisting in the coordination of loan documentation requests and portfolio management. This individual is responsible for ensuring all supporting documentation is received and reviewed in accordance with credit policy and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations prior to requesting loan documents on new loans, renewals, and extension requests. Additionally, this individual will assist commercial loan officers with exceptions, ticklers, covenant compliance, maturities, delinquencies, and other administrative duties as required.

Essential Duties

Loan Intake & Processing:

Reviews incoming loan requests or updated financial packages for accuracy.

Creates workflows for loan applications onto the commercial lending software for further review and underwriting.

Coordination with Underwriters and Loan Officers:

Works closely with the underwriters and Commercial Loan Officers to obtain a complete loan package.

Coordinates the timing of approval, including obtaining or ordering financials, tax returns, appraisals, prelims, and other necessary reports.

Loan Documentation Management:

Manages the overall process and integrity of Loan Documentation Requests upon loan approval.

Compiles and coordinates complete loan documentation packages, including entity documentation, preliminary title reports, UCC searches, and other necessary items.

Escrow Coordination and Report Ordering:

Coordinates the opening of escrows, obtains title fees, and orders third-party required reports.

Includes credit reports, UCC lien searches, preliminary title reports, flood reports, and other applicable reports.

Customer & Internal Support

Respond to routine customer and internal inquiries regarding loan servicing

Process withdrawn or declined loan applications and prepare adverse action notices

Provide customer service and assist in resolving issues withing assigned authority

Construction Loan Budget Preparation:

Assists Commercial Loan Officer and Construction Servicing in the preparation of construction loan budgets.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

To be considered, must have previous experience in a banking or financial services environment and should consist of credit or loan processing background

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in finance, business, or a related field.

Experience with commercial lending processes and documentation.

Proficiency in loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Attention to detail is critical, as even minor errors can lead to significant delays in the loan process. Proficiency in relevant software tools will streamline daily tasks, allowing the assistant to focus on delivering exceptional service to clients.
