PURPOSE
The Associate Director of Small Groups provides
strategic leadership, operational oversight, and pastoral care
for the Small Groups ministry at the campus level. This role partners closely with the Small Groups Director/Pastor, Campus Executive Pastor, and Central Leadership to help cast vision, develop leaders, and cultivate healthy, sustainable discipleship communities across the campus. The Associate Director is responsible for translating vision into execution, supporting Volunteer Ministry Leaders (VMLs), Coaches, and Leads, strengthening systems and processes, and ensuring alignment with Victory Church’s mission, values, and discipleship strategy. Small Groups Leadership & Strategy
Help provide day-to-day leadership and strategic oversight of the Small Groups ministry for the campus. Partner with the Small Groups Pastor/Director to execute vision, goals, and ministry rhythms for Small Group Ministry. Evaluate, refine, and improve Small Groups systems, processes, and leader pathways to support ministry growth and health. Translate Central Ministry vision into effective campus-level implementation. Leader Development & Care
Recruit, train, coach, and care for Small Group Coaches, Leaders and Volunteer Ministry Leaders (VMLs). Lead regular leader touchpoints, coaching conversations, and development gatherings. Identify, develop, and empower future leaders, coordinators, and associate leaders. Facilitate training sessions for Small Group Coaches and Leaders Provide relational and care to VMLs, Coaches, and Leaders addressing challenges with wisdom and discretion. Operations & Execution
Help oversee Small Groups operations including calendars, proposals, metrics, meeting agendas, recaps, and reporting. Help lead the planning and execution of Small Groups launches, leader trainings, and key events. Collaborate with Central teams to ensure alignment and excellence. Oversee campus-wide communication related to Small Groups Cross-Ministry & Campus Collaboration
Support broader campus initiatives and events as assigned by the Campus Leadership or Small Groups Pastor/Director Assist with additional ministry initiatives as needed, contributing to overall campus health and growth. COMPETENCIES

4+ years
of ministry leadership, team leadership, or program management experience (church or faith-based organization preferred). Proven experience leading volunteers and developing leaders. Experience overseeing ministry operations, systems, and cross-functional collaboration. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Data management and reporting experience. Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to large audiences. Proficient in Mac and Microsoft 365 applications Comfortable learning and managing church management systems, planning tools, and communication platforms ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
