Strategic Account Manager II Overview YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Strategic Account Manager II are to:
Collaborate with Strategic Account Lead (SAL) and Supplier Relations Lead to implement Y0-1 HQ account strategy
Collaborate with SAL and customer to execute account strategy in partnership with Unit Leads and Squads
Support Whole-Farm Solution (Seed, CP, Digital) development for partners nationally while enabling Business Unit Lead (BUL) and Business Partner Lead (BPL) to influence the field locally
Maintain National HQ relationships with key executives at partner companies
Support business performance achievement through influential account management & connectivity to BUL and BPL
Manage short-term and long-term market funding through agreements/contracts & tracking against business performance
Drive seed initiatives and target setting with account
Coordinate partner phasing of Crop Protection purchases
Collaborate directly with Market Managers, BULs, and BPL’s to track execution against local business plans and push pull strategies. Collaborate with customer enabling teams to understand business trends and gaining account support
Upskill account management practices for effective cross-portfolio integration & execution
Identify early Business Planning process that identifies key imperatives, tactics and quarterly road map that encompasses account priorities supported by Bayer strategy and initiatives.
Manage forecasting, budgets, inventory and multi-year agreements, CCOs.
Communicate and facilitate strategy and tactics to develop mutually beneficial business solutions with account
Build relationships and trust with all stakeholders that foster local resolution to conflict/issues.

Required Qualifications:
Excellent business acumen, strategic thinking, planning, negotiation, critical thinking and leadership skills
Strong analytical and innovative sales and negotiation skills; detail orientation
Ability to balance Bayer and customer needs to achieve mutually beneficial business results.
A high degree of leadership and collaboration between Bayer field teams, units, SALs and accounts
Ability to influence without authority
Strong communication & influencing skills to drive execution of account plans with stakeholder
Ability to quickly build strategic relationships and influence behavior through building trust and being inclusive
Advanced account management and business planning skill set
Willingness to invest in financial acumen and continue to develop skill set to drive both top and bottom-line growth
Strong digital fluency as it relates to account usage of farmer management information systems;
Valid Driver’s license and eligibility to drive a company car or pooled vehicle (driving record must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers and MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening).
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant work experience

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $139040.00 - 208560.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
