Job Description Bradenton Christian Reformed Church desires a music and worship director who can select biblical and worshipful songs for its two worship services. The candidate should be confessionally Reformed and have an aligning philosophy of worship. The candidate should be skilled to lead and conduct a choir and praise team, and oversee special music events. Ideally the candidate would be able to play the organ and piano.
Position Qualifications
Partner with pastoral leadership to plan and execute Sunday morning and evening worship services, ensuring the selection of theologically sound music that supports each message.
Lead worship service preparation meetings with pastors, tech staff, and other participants to review responsibilities and service flow.
Collaborate with the Tech Director to upload songs, litanies, and related worship components.
Oversee setup and breakdown of equipment, microphones, and instruments for all services and rehearsals.
Review the order of worship with sound booth personnel, organists, pianists, and all others involved prior to each service.
Serve as a consultant to musical groups providing music at BCRC events.
Communicate with guest pastors and speakers regarding the planned order of worship.
Provide office staff with the finalized order of worship for bulletin preparation.

Our location attracts a large number of guests in the winter months. Our average Sunday attendance is 200+ (summer) and 350+ (winter). Mission The mission of the Bradenton Christian Reformed Church is to train disciples in Bradenton, Florida to abide in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Vision The vision of the Bradenton Christian Reformed Church is each generation discipling the next to endure in the historic Reformed faith until Christ returns. BCRC will proclaim God’s word from a historic-redemptive perspective and bring worshippers in a reverential and adoring relationship towards God through blended worship. BCRC will faithfully teach the true Word of God with the aim that students of all ages are able to live out their faith through a Reformed world and life view. BCRC will continue to commit to the ongoing education of our youth in Christian day school and also actively encourage those who commit to a career in ministry. BCRC will do its part to fulfill the Great Commission by locally proclaiming the gospel and faithfully supporting missionaries and encouraging them in a variety of other ways. BCRC will honor God’s covenantal relationship with his elect and encourage true Christian fellowship that includes all members from the youngest to the oldest. BCRC will encourage every member to develop and use their God given gifts and talents to help carry out the ministries of BCRC. BCRC will have ordained male leadership and be ruled according to a Presbyterian form of Church government. BCRC will not waiver in her commitment to honor the historic Christian faith, as expressed in the inerrant and infallible word of God, the ancient creeds (Apostles Creed, Athanasian Creed and Nicene Creed), and Reformed confessions (Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession and Canons of Dordt).
