Website Developers/Programmers to design, develop, update, and maintain Section 508‑compliant websites, web applications, and interactive training components supporting the DCSA IDD mission. Collaborate with instructional, multimedia, and technical teams to ensure modern, accessible, secure, and user‑friendly digital experiences for learners and mission stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Develop, update, and maintain Section 508‑compliant websites and web applications.
Support the development of web‑based training components and interactive instructional products.
Collaborate with designers, ISDs, and multimedia teams to implement user‑centric interfaces.
Ensure websites meet accessibility, usability, performance, and security standards.
Perform troubleshooting, debugging, maintenance, and continuous improvements of existing sites.
Assist with content updates, version control, and documentation of web development processes.
Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Experience – Required
Minimum three (3) years of experience developing and maintaining Section 508‑compliant websites.
Experience implementing accessible design and applying 508/ADA standards to web interfaces.
Experience – Preferred
Experience supporting DoD or federal web development projects.
Experience applying secure coding practices and supporting controlled environments.
Tools & Software
508 accessibility tools (e.g., ANDI, WAVE, JAWS).
Web content management and collaboration platforms.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of modern web development best practices.
Ability to implement accessible, user‑friendly, and responsive designs.
Problem‑solving skills for debugging and improving existing web assets.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across development and instructional teams.
