Production Coordinator
Coordinates production planning and daily manufacturing operations to ensure schedules, materials, and resources are aligned. Works closely with operations, supervisors, and quality to keep production on schedule, efficient, and compliant with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain production schedules for fabrication, assembly, paint, and inspection.
- Review and prioritize work orders to meet delivery commitments.
- Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure material availability.
- Adjust schedules to address downtime, shortages, and priority changes.
- Support shop floor operations by assisting with workflow, material movement, and issue resolution.
- Monitor job progress and communicate status updates.
- Ensure work orders, drawings, and specifications are followed.
- Support quality, continuous improvement, and safety initiatives.
- Track materials and assist with WIP control.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
- 2+ years of manufacturing production coordination or scheduling experience.
- Knowledge of fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP/MRP experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working on the shop floor.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, temperature variation, and moving equipment.
