We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and customer-focusedPropertyManagertooverseethemarketing,leasing,andongoingmanagement of long-term residential rentals and commercial properties across the Monterey Peninsula. This role serves as the primary point of contact for prospective and current tenants and plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with California housing laws while delivering professional, responsive, and high-quality leasing experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full leasing lifecycle, including inquiries, showings, applications, lease execution, renewals, and move-outs
Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, prospective and current tenants, providing clear, timely, and professional communication
Oversee tenant screening, including applications, credit/background checks, income verification, and references
Prepare and manage legally compliant leases, disclosures, notices, and renewals
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local housing laws, including Fair Housing, California landlord-tenant law, and Monterey Peninsula regulations
Apply fair housing principles consistently in marketing, screening, leasing, and tenant communications
Coordinate with property owners and internal team on pricing, lease terms, tenant placement, readiness
Communicate market conditions, leasing activity, and tenant feedback to ownership and management
Required Skills:
Minimum 2–4 years experience in residential leasing, property management and/or commercial leasing
Strong working knowledge of California landlord-tenant law and fair housing regulations
Demonstrated experience applying fair housing principles in real-world leasing scenarios
Exceptional customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
Background in property management, client services, or relationship-driven roles
High level of organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally, calmly, and objectively
Proficiency with property management software, leasing platforms, and standard office technology
Works collaboratively as part of a team and coordinates closely with colleagues across departments
Reliable transportation required
Full time, combination of office work and on-site property showings
Local travel throughout the Monterey Peninsula required
Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($80,000-$90,000 annually)
