We are seeking a motivated and professional Bilingual Mid-Stage Mortgage Collector to join our team. As a Mid-Stage Mortgage Counselor, you will be responsible for managing borrower outreach and resolving delinquent mortgage accounts between 60-89 days past due. You will engage borrowers through counseling and education, negotiate payment arrangements, and evaluate eligibility for home retention programs. The successful candidate will balance effective collection practices with borrower advocacy by providing clear guidance, education, and loss mitigation solutions in both English and Spanish. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. In This Role, You Will
Initiate outbound and receive inbound borrower calls for accounts that are in delinquency, negotiating payment arrangements to prevent further mortgage delinquency Provide borrower education and counseling while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism during each interaction Review borrowers for home retention programs based on loan type and eligibility Follow up on returned payments, issue demand letters, and work to resolve delinquency through appropriate collection efforts Ensure compliance with FDCPA, RESPA, FCRA, and all applicable regulatory requirements Other job duties as assigned Requirements
Bilingual in Spanish required 6 months of experience in mortgage collections, early-stage counseling, or a related role One to three years of collections or loan servicing experience preferred Strong verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred At our organization, we are dedicated to improving lives and strengthening Idaho communities.
