
Position Summary
The Nutritionist plays a critical role in promoting health and wellness by providing evidence-based nutrition counseling, creating engaging programs and content, and delivering educational initiatives in-store and within the community. This bilingual, social media-savvy professional will develop marketing materials, support healthy food sales, serve as a media spokesperson for Giant's brand, and lead innovative projects with a focus on Hispanic community outreach.

Operational Excellence
Provide evidence-based personalized nutrition counseling to customers and associates.
Develop, coordinate, and execute in-store and in-community nutrition programs within assigned region. Programs include nutrition store tours, classes, webinars, seminars, health fairs and employer wellness programs.
Create and deliver evidence-based health and wellness content for marketing channels including podcast, blog, social media, Savory magazine, seasonal mailers, educational materials, newspapers, and trade magazines.
Represent Giant as the nutrition expert in various mediaoutlets including television, radio, newspaper and social media to promote the Giant brand.
Collaboration and Community Engagement
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned tasks and projects within the nutritionist team.
Collaborate with key internal departments such as Pharmacy, Human Resources, Store Ops, Marketing, Public Relations, Sustainable Retailing, ADUSA, and Merchandising teams to execute Healthy Living programs across the Brand.
Actively seek and nurture new community partnerships with local healthcare providers, schools, universities, government agencies, and businesses.
Support and champion Giant's Sustainable Retailing and Healthy Living initiatives. Actively support healthy food sales, including execution of the nutritionist shopper marketing program.
Represent Giant at company-sponsored events.
Work closely with the Healthy Living Manager and Healthy Living Director on special projects as assigned.
What You Will Bring
BS in Human Nutrition, Registered Dietitian (RD), MS in Nutrition or Education preferred
Keen knowledge of food and consumer trends, human nutrition standards and recommendations, and food preparation and culinary trends
MS Office knowledge including Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work well in groups
Ability to organize diverse workload and handle multiple projects
Available to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis
Ability to lift boxes (25 pounds or less) and transport boxes to events
Ability to travel frequently within assigned region and to the corporate office as needed
Strong oral and written communication skills
