Job Overview
We’re looking for a
designer-first Webflow builder
with 3–6 years of professional experience to join our small creative team. This is a
hybrid role based in our Newport Beach, CA office , with an expectation of
in-office collaboration three days per week . This role is ideal for someone with a strong visual and graphic design foundation who also enjoys building what they design, someone who thinks in systems, sweats typography and layout, and understands how design decisions translate into real, performant websites. You’ll work across multiple client accounts, primarily in Webflow, owning projects from early UX thinking and design direction through full build, launch, and ongoing optimization. Because we’re a lean team and this is an
urgent hire , we’re looking for someone who can step in quickly and take ownership without a long onboarding or remote ramp-up period. This role goes beyond “development” or “design” alone; you’ll help shape how we manage websites, workflows, and platforms across clients. Our ideal candidate is a designer at heart, technically fluent, highly organized, and excited by variety. Bonus points if you enjoy jumping into branding or visual design work when web work slows. What You'll Do Concept, Design and build websites primarily in Webflow , including both design-led builds and technically complex implementations. Manage multiple client websites efficiently, identifying opportunities to improve workflows, CMS structures, and long-term maintainability. Handle technical launch tasks including
DNS, hosting, redirects, and domain transfers . Implement and maintain
forms, integrations, and automations
(CRM, analytics, marketing tools, third-party services). Collaborate directly with the Creative Director and clients on site architecture, content strategy, and UX decisions. Create clean, reusable styles, components, and CMS structures that scale across clients. Troubleshoot issues, QA builds, and provide ongoing client support and documentation. When bandwidth allows, assist with
branding, visual design, or UX exploration
across other client initiatives. What We're Looking For Strong experience building complex, scalable websites with structured CMS content in
Webflow
(required). Strong visual and UX sensibility; you understand typography, hierarchy, spacing, accessibility, and how design choices shape user behavior. Comfortable moving between
design tools (Figma, etc.) and live builds . Experience managing multiple client websites or projects simultaneously. Familiarity with CMS strategy, structured content, and scalable site architecture. Experience with integrations (CRMs, forms, analytics, marketing tools). Organized, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously in a small team. Strong communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego mindset. A portfolio of recent work is required
(live sites and/or case studies preferred). Portfolios should demonstrate strong visual design, layout, and typography, not just technical execution. Nice to Have (Not Required) Strong graphic and visual design background: experience designing brand systems, marketing sites, typography-driven layouts, and visual assets (web-first, but brand-savvy). Experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms. Familiarity with Git or version control concepts. Interest in improving internal systems, templates, or processes. Why This Role is Different You won’t be siloed. You’ll have
real ownership and influence . You’ll work directly with senior creative leadership, not buried under layers. You’ll help shape
how
we work, not just execute tasks. You’ll touch
design, development, and strategy , depending on project needs. Variety is the norm; no two clients or builds are the same. Who This Role is Not For Only following instructions and never making decisions. Developers who don’t care about UX or design. Designers who shy away from code, CMS, or technical problem-solving. People who need a rigid, fully structured workflow. Anyone intimidated by managing multiple client websites or thinking strategically about scalable systems. If you’re a designer at heart who can code, a Webflow pro who thinks strategically, and a professional who enjoys variety and problem-solving across projects in a small, experienced creative team, we’d love to hear from you!
