The Project CSU/Operations Compliance Engineer ensures the Project meets all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, during the CSU and Initial Operations Phase. This is done by developing and implementing compliance programs, conducting audits, and managing corrective actions. Major Responsibilities
Creating and maintaining a regulatory compliance database – review all applicable permits and regulations, set monitoring and reporting requirements. Developing and issuing required Compliance Status Reports. Coordinating with Owner's Regulatory Personnel. Supporting Owner during Regulatory Inspections. Conducting Audits and Investigations, including following up on Action Closure. Education and Experience Requirements
Requires an engineering degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience. Relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically with LNG projects preferred. Experience working with third-party organizations and regulatory bodies. Required Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge: Strong familiarity with U.S. LNG project regulations, including specific codes like 49 CFR 193 and 33 CFR 127. Technical knowledge of LNG facility systems, and commissioning. Skills: Regulatory Compliance Conditions and Requirements interpretation; Data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development; Cross-functional and stakeholder communication; Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations; Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); Familiarity with Plant Information Management Systems.
