Purpose of the Job To drive growth in Sanden’s North American aftermarket business by promoting Sanden products and services, expanding business with existing customers, and developing new markets. This role combines strategic planning, customer relationship management, and new product/market development to support the company’s Execution and Mid Term Plan targets.
Principal Duties / Essential Functions Business Development & Strategy
Identify and pursue new business opportunities by understanding market trends, customer needs, and competitive challenges.
Develop commercial and strategic initiatives for Sanden’s North American replacement market customer base.
Generate, qualify, and convert sales leads into sustainable business growth.
Support the development and launch of new products and strategies aligned with market demands and company objectives.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key customer personnel at all organizational levels.
Engage in ongoing informal communication—including casual check ins, follow ups, and touchpoints—to strengthen trust, rapport, and long term loyalty.
Serve as a consistent, approachable point of contact who supports customers beyond formal meetings or structured reviews.
Identify opportunities for deeper engagement by listening to feedback, concerns, and emerging needs during informal interactions.
Share customer insights with internal teams to ensure feedback is understood, acted upon, and incorporated into business planning.
Internal Collaboration & Market Support
Work closely with Sales and Product Management teams to identify and develop products needed to compete effectively in the market.
Coordinate marketing plans and create marketing materials to support sales goals.
Assist in developing monthly, annual, and long range (5+ year) business plans and sales forecasts for the North American retail aftermarket.
Support sales management and participate in special projects or studies as required.
Industry Engagement
Represent Sanden at trade shows, customer and dealer events, and industry conferences to promote brand visibility and strengthen customer relationships.
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
Maintain awareness and compliance with company EHS policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to EHS effectiveness by reporting unsafe conditions or non-compliance issues.
Requirements Education
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of personnel—from parts counter staff to C suite executives.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Licenses or Certifications
None required.
Physical Demands
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
Ability to walk, reach, and bend to observe machinery.
Occasional lifting may be required.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
PPE may be required depending on project needs.
Safety glasses and steel toe shoes required in Special Markets Production areas and all shop floors.
Work Environment / Hours
90% office environment, 10% manufacturing environment.
Be able to work normal office hours and provide support during evenings or weekends as needed.
Be able to interact with a wide variety of people both informally and professionally, internally, and externally.

Travel Requirements
Up to 33% travel, both domestic (coast to coast) and international (including but not limited to Japan, Poland, France, Singapore, Germany, China, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom).
