
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Strategy & BizOps Manager to join the PLEX organization within AWS. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to a PLEX leader, operating as their right hand to drive organizational effectiveness, strategic execution, and operational excellence. You'll be part of a centralized business operations team that enables org leaders to maximize their impact across a growing AWS organization.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted partner to your executive, managing multiple concurrent initiatives that require balancing competing priorities and exercising sound judgment in ambiguous situations
Provide strategic support on decisions affecting team direction and resource allocation, representing the leader in cross-functional forums where your contributions help drive alignment on key initiatives
Exhibit discretion in handling sensitive information and the ability to operate independently while keeping leadership informed and prepared
Translate strategic direction into actionable plans, working with team leads to secure commitment and remove execution barriers
Manage key leadership forums including MBRs, QBRs, and the goal‑setting process, synthesizing business performance data and operational metrics into clear narratives that inform decisions on priorities, resource allocation, and tactical adjustments
Assist leadership in identifying opportunities and risks that impact team effectiveness and delivery
Build productive working relationships with peer business operations teams, Finance, HR, Recruiting, and other support functions to drive progress on cross‑functional initiatives
Coordinate and lead strategic projects that require alignment across multiple teams, influencing stakeholders to secure support and resources for initiatives that improve how your organization operates
Build consensus and navigate competing interests, which will be essential to removing blockers and maintaining momentum on critical priorities
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience with QuickSight dashboard and visual creation
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with, presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level
Experience building scalable programs and repeatable scalable processes, levering various tools and methods to create scale and efficiency
Experience using data to influence business decisions
Experience in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau
Previous experience in Chief of Staff or Business Operations leadership roles
