Overview

As our Retail Marketing Manager, you will develop 360° retail marketing plans that support the Village’s financial goals, bringing together in-Village experience and brand activation moments. Your goal is to drive brand engagement, planning and executing a calendar of brand activations and commercial events that shape compelling brand narratives. Responsibilities Being responsible for the execution of the retail marketing strategy for the Village, including brand openings, activations and guest experience.

Ensuring all programs ladder up to the overarching objective of driving qualified footfall into the village and boutiques, along with the added objective for village activations and events that encourage dwell time and immersion in the experience.

Reinforcing the trust of our brand partners by identifying future business needs and implementing strategies to enhance their performance.

Planning retail marketing commercial activations and immersive experiences in partnership with Retail, Public Relations, Visual Merchandising and Hospitality, highlighting unbelievable product finds and reinforcing our unique proposition as a retail destination.

Acting as the point person for execution of cross-campus visitor opportunities & unexpected communication programs, working closely with our partners at UBS Arena, NY Islanders and the Belmont Park racetrack (opening 2027).

Managing activations from end-to-end, ensuring they are memorable and best-in-class; conducting after action reviews in order to document our learnings and successes.

Managing the retail marketing budget and monitoring the costs of each event.

Preparing insightful reporting for each activation, including the achievement of KPIs, return on investment and suggestions for continuous improvement.

Analyzing the brands’ performance; identifying opportunities and impact on the business’ results in coordination with Retail, Marketing, Hospitality teams and other departments.

Collaborating with the local and Central teams to ensure consistency and full alignment with the guiding principles and the objectives of the business, ensuring best practices from other Villages have been incorporated.

Organizing and providing direction to the teams supporting retail marketing activations.

A Marketing degree or equivalent qualifications.

Experience in developing integrated communications plans and briefs, ideally in the luxury sector.

Deep expertise in the Long Island and Metro New York area, particularly within fashion or tourism.

A proven track record of successful execution of marketing strategy to drive the agreed-upon KPIs.

Fluency with business tools such as briefs, RACI.

Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to influence change in matrixed environments.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to both plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously; strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with multiple departments internally, with external partners/brands and agencies.

Computer literate and high proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Strong understanding of different audiences and customer behaviors.

Ability to work holidays, evenings, and weekends on a rotational basis and according to the activation calendar.

Fluency in English; any other languages would be advantageous.
