Overview Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking applicants for a Proposal Manager who will oversee execution of SDL's proposal management process. This position is onsite, based in North Logan, UT, and reports to the Senior Communications Manager in the Business and Finance Division.

Key Responsibilities

Manages SDL's overall proposal development efforts, including working directly with assigned capture managers and technical resources

Assigns proposal management and proposal technical writing resources

Collaborates with program documentation manager on technical writing support, resource allocations, and workload management, including resourcing for classified proposal efforts

Coordinates with marketing manager for proposal-related messaging, graphics, etc.

Manages large, complex proposals and proposal volumes/segments

Manages small to moderate-scale efforts, including RFI or ROM responses, customer requests, etc.

Functions as integrated part of technical teams, taking a proactive approach to identify areas of opportunity for proposal management, content, and graphics

Leverages approved artificial intelligence tools to support proposal development and technical writing activities, in accordance with SDL policies, security requirements, data handling rules, and applicable regulatory and contractual guidelines

Manages proposal budget for technical writing support

Maintains internal proposal procedure as part of larger "capturing business" process

Participates in process reviews for overarching capturing business process and management reviews with SDL leadership

Maintains, updates, and executes proposal training

Manages past performance, heritage, and boilerplate (i.e., facilities, resumes, management) material and helps to develop more streamlined databases

Edits and assists with maintenance for proposal-related documents (i.e., pricing principles, subcontracting plan)

Chairs regular proposal, contracts, and cost coordination meetings

Maintains internal Confluence pages for tracking and organization

Monitors federal Government sites for opportunities and watch list items

Executes special projects as appropriate (e.g., letters of support, questionnaires)

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in applicable field

10+ years of experience in developing technical writing deliverables

5+ years managing proposals or technical documentation deliverables with strict deadlines

Proven ability to ensure that technical documentation and responses are compliant with RFPs, RFIs, etc. and maintain organizational brand standards

Ability to foster collaborative relationships with leadership, peers, and proposal content contributors, even during complex or challenging circumstances

Strong writing and analytical skills; excellent verbal communication skills

Strong time management skills, personal motivation, and proven ability to meet deadlines

Ability to present and promote a positive image of the organization

Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance; current TS/SCI preferred

Salary

$105,000 - $137,000

Salary commensurate based on education and relevant experience
