Role As a
Specialist, PCB Layout Designer , you will design and support
mission-critical rigid, flex, and rigid-flex PCBs
that power communication systems used by
military personnel and first responders .
This is a high-impact role supporting state-of-the-art PCB design work using advanced tools and processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams and play a key role in validating PCB design packages and ensuring manufacturability, assembly readiness, and documentation accuracy.
Responsibilities
Utilize Mentor PADS software to incorporate schematic, mechanical, and manufacturing inputs into:
new designs
revised rigid, flex, and rigid-flex PCB layouts
Collaborate with cross-functional design teams to resolve:
fabrication issues
assembly issues
test issues identified through Valor NPI fabrication and manufacturing checks
Update design files and documentation to incorporate changes to:
schematics
BOMs
detail drawings ensuring proper PLM file structure
Validate integrity of PCB design packages by verifying alignment between:
schematic
BOM
mechanical inputs
PCB layout
assembly documentation
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree + 4 years relevant experience OR
Graduate Degree + 2 years related experience OR
In lieu of degree: 8 years relevant experience
Preferred / Nice to Have Skills
Experience working with PLM tools such as:
Agile
Teamcenter
Strong understanding of PCB design elements including:
schematic
BOM
mechanical
fabrication
assembly
related design files/documentation
PCB design software experience:
PADS
Xpedition
Cadence
Valor
Excellent attention to detail
Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (or related)
