Customs Entry Writer

The Customs Entry Writer is responsible for preparing and submitting import/export entries, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, and facilitating smooth movement of goods across borders. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and submit accurate U.S. customs entries using CargoWise. Review and verify import/export documentation for completeness and compliance. Classify commodities according to Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes. Calculate duties, taxes, and fees accurately. Communicate with clients, carriers, and customs authorities to resolve discrepancies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and import/export laws. Assist in audits and provide documentation for compliance purposes. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in customs entry preparation, preferably in a freight forwarding environment. Proficient in CargoWise (mandatory). Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and import/export compliance. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
