Overview
VDart, Inc. is seeking an Account Specialist Level 1 to support billing and operational activities during a critical billing system migration and post-implementation go-live phase. This role focuses on migration support, hypercare activities, and manual billing operations while automation solutions are developed.
Responsibilities Migration Support
Assist with billing data validation and reconciliation during system migration
Support testing activities including parallel billing runs and validation checks
Document migration issues, track resolutions, and maintain audit trails
Coordinate with technical and business teams to ensure accurate data transfer
Post Go-Live (Hypercare) Support
Provide hands-on support during the post-go-live hypercare period
Monitor billing runs and identify exceptions or discrepancies
Assist with troubleshooting billing issues and customer inquiries
Validate billing accuracy including charges, rates, and components
Operational Support
Perform manual billing tasks and workarounds prior to automation
Support customer enrollment and account setup activities
Assist with billing audits, charge validation, and contract verification
Maintain documentation of manual processes and issue resolutions
Support high-volume operational tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in billing operations
Strong understanding of billing systems, rate structures, and charge calculations
Experience supporting system migrations or implementations
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
Strong reconciliation, validation, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in energy or utilities billing environments
Familiarity with retail energy billing platforms (VertexOne, CES, ESG, or similar)
Knowledge of commercial and industrial (C&I) billing processes
Experience supporting post-implementation hypercare
Understanding of contract management and rate setup
