Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Carrier Sales Representative located in Indianapolis, IN. The Carrier Sales Representative will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with carrier partners, negotiating rates, and securing truckload capacity to meet client needs. Primary tasks include scheduling transportation, monitoring shipments, ensuring timely deliveries, and resolving any challenges that may arise. The role also involves developing new business opportunities by identifying and onboarding carriers, fostering long-term partnerships, and supporting the team to meet operational goals.
Qualifications
Drayage experience.
Strong sales and negotiation skills to manage relationships with carriers and secure competitive rates.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients and carriers.
Proficiency in problem-solving, decision-making, and handling logistics issues effectively and promptly.
Organizational and multitasking skills to manage shipments, track logistics, and handle operational priorities efficiently.
Familiarity with freight management systems, transportation software, and the logistics industry is highly advantageous.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with a focus on meeting customer needs.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant experience in logistics or transportation is a plus.
