With 50,000 sq. ft. of DTLA studios and a global influencer network, we’re ready to 10x our output in 2026—and we need a Junior Social Media Video Editor who speaks the language of the internet and can turn raw footage into viral gold.
Why This Role Matters As a Junior Social Media Video Editor, you aren’t just cutting video; you are translating brand messages into native social culture. You will be responsible for taking raw influencer content and studio footage and turning it into snappy, engaging, and high-converting assets for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Your work determines if a user stops scrolling or keeps moving. If you are obsessed with pacing, trends, and creating content that feels authentic to the platform, this is your launchpad.
What You’ll Do
Edit Native Short-Form Content
Assemble and edit fast-paced, engaging videos specifically for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
Master the art of the “hook”—editing the first 3 seconds to grab attention instantly using visual disruption, text overlays, and sound.
Implement trending audio, native text styles, and platform-specific stickers to make ads feel organic.
Remix & Iterate
Take successful ad concepts and create fresh iterations by swapping hooks, changing music, or re-ordering footage to combat creative fatigue.
Turn long-form content (YouTube videos, podcasts) into bite-sized, viral social clips.
Polish & Enhance
Apply dynamic captions (Alex Hormozi style, karaoke style, etc.) that increase watch time and retention.
Perform basic color correction and audio mixing to ensure mobile-viewing quality.
Add basic motion graphics and transitions to keep the energy high.
Stay Trend-Obsessed
Monitor the TikTok Creative Center and Reels trends daily.
Proactively pitch new editing styles, audio trends, or visual memes that we can apply to our client brands.
Who You Are
A Social Media Native
1–3 years of experience editing specifically for social media (personal brand, agency, or freelance).
You live on the FYP. You understand current memes, pacing trends, and what makes a video go viral.
Technically Agile
Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (required).
Familiarity with After Effects (for motion text) and CapCut (for specific trending effects) is a major plus.
You understand aspect ratios, safe zones, and export settings for all social platforms.
Fast & Creative
You can turn around an edit in hours, not days. You thrive on the speed of social media.>
You have a good sense of rhythm and timing—your cuts land perfectly on the beat.
Detail-Oriented
You double-check spelling in captions and ensure audio levels are balanced for phone speakers.
You are organized with your file management and project structures.
Excellent Communicator
Strong English proficiency is required. You can clearly articulate why you made a creative choice and collaborate effectively with Art Directors remotely.
