
Overview
This role as Assistant Golf Professional is for the professional seeking the overall educational experience of a high-end private country club. We will provide experience in the areas of an active tournament program, junior program including PGA Junior League, active ladies and men's leagues, golf shop operation, private and group instruction, club fitting and other duties as designated by the head golf professional.
Hyde Park G&CC is a Donald Ross design undergoing a restoration that begun July 14, 2025. Typically, 21,000 rounds annually. The Club has a indoor golf learning center equipped with Track Man technology allowing year-round teaching and club fitting.
This position is intended to be a year-round position filled by a PGA Professional or Level III Associate.
Experience Required
1-2 years Private Club Experience
2-4 years' experience in the role of Assistant Golf Professional
PGA Level III or PGA Member preferred
College Degree Preferred
Essential Responsibilities
Work towards PGA membership and maintain an active classification in The PGA of America.
Assist it tournament operations utilizing Golf Genius Software
Supervise and manage the overall golf operations in a professional and efficient manner.
Provide excellent customer services, professional advice and assistance to all members and guests.
Manage the overall operation of the practice facility.
Provide quality golf instruction and clinics consistent with instructional methods.
Supervise, schedule and train golf shop and outside service personnel as directed by the head golf professional.
Assist in purchasing, receipt, display, inventory control, promotion, and sales of merchandise.
Assist fellow assistant golf professionals in junior golf (PGA Junior league, clinics and camps).
Track and verify all players and guests, golf cars, club storage, and additional charges as necessary, facilitate proper controls.
Assist in supervision and administration of the handicap program.
Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.
Assist in publications of newsletters, informational and promotional materials.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner and always maintain a professional image.
Be informed about and promote all club activities and services.
Assist in planning and budgeting for the golf operations.
Assist in managing tournaments and outings.
Maintain credible golf game through practice and regular play with Club members.
