Responsibilities
Under minimal supervision, receive, inspect, and ship all materials following SOPs and written instructions that meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements
Coordinate standard shipping documentation on all packages, including labeling and other customs requirements
Effectively process receipt of product in ERP system to ensure temperature requirements are met under company standards for cold-chain receiving
Independently handle specialized receipt and shipment of product, including material quarantine and international shipment
Ensure inventory accuracy through independent execution of inventory transactions, both physically and through ERP system updates
Participate in physical inventory activities, such as routine cycle counts, to maintain inventory integrity
Independently serve as representative of the team/department with cross-functional collaborators in communicating departmental policies, procedures, and operational status as required
Participate in the training and onboarding of new hires in departmental procedures and policies as directed by functional line management
Identify and raise opportunities for process or operational improvements; participate in implementation of solutions where directed by management
Responsible for compliance with all federal and state laws, which apply to all employees, products, and facilities
Diligently learn and follow the requirements of the ISO 13485 quality management system
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent experience (GED)
Proven experience in a logistics role, including processing international shipments and customs documentation
Experience participating in cycle-count programs and year-end inventory
Proven ability to complete procedures in a high-volume, fast-paced distribution operation
Experience working with information technology, including FedEx and UPS shipping systems and ERP systems (ideally IFS)
Working knowledge of internet web browsing and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Prior experience operating material handling equipment, such as a battery-operated pallet jack, forklift, or box truck
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with material handling and preparation of finished product for shipment in a manufacturing or biotech organization
Proven experience with cold-chain shipping and receiving
Demonstrated proficiency with dangerous goods handling
