
Overview
This role is ideal for a designer passionate about crafting distinctive brand identities that break away from conventional real estate aesthetics. The project centers on developing a pared-back, editorial-inspired visual identity for a Vancouver-based realtor’s new website. The focus is on clarity, refined typography, and timeless design, with an emphasis on concept and craft over sales-driven visuals. The selected designer will collaborate closely to create a cohesive brand system and supporting materials, ensuring a seamless handoff to the website designer. This is a small, intentional project with the potential for future collaboration.
Deliverables
Develop a comprehensive brand identity system, including logo, color palette, and typography guidelines
Design supporting materials such as business cards, letterheads, and digital assets
Create brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints
Prepare assets for handoff to the website designer
Provide recommendations for maintaining a cohesive editorial look and feel
Requirements
Proven experience in brand identity and editorial design, preferably with a portfolio showcasing minimalist and concept-driven work
Strong skills in typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or equivalent design tools
Ability to translate abstract concepts into clear, timeless visual solutions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to craft and quality
Availability for a small-scale project with potential for follow-up work
Familiarity with real estate or editorial branding is a plus, but not required
