About Cedar
Cedar is creating the most significant innovation in home affordability since the 30-year mortgage. By reimagining the land lease as a consumer-first model, Cedar makes homeownership more accessible and sustainable for a wider range of buyers.
We are actually solving home affordability at scale – this is one of the most pressing problems in our country today and we are fixing it. Our structure meaningfully reduces both the upfront cost of purchasing a home and monthly costs. We expand the path to ownership for people who have been locked out of traditional markets and help existing homeowners access their equity at cost well below existing solutions. Cedar is already making a substantial impact for homeowners and we have material backing from top investors. Join our fast-growing and high-performing team as we fundamentally change how people buy homes and create a new institutional asset class.
About The Role
The Sales Lead for our Cedar’s Cash‑Out program, which allows homeowners to access their home equity without refinancing or taking on new debt, is a key position as we grow. This role focuses on educating real estate agents, financial professionals, and homeowners on how Cedar’s ground lease structure can unlock trapped equity while maintaining stability of ownership. You will report directly to the Head of Partnerships and work cross‑functionally with underwriting, transaction management, product and marketing to ensure smooth execution, clear communication, and a growing pipeline of active transactions.
While this will start as a sales role it will ideally grow into more of a general manager role where you will be responsible not just for sales metrics but the whole business unit including product design, marketing, technology, and additional sales resources. PnL responsibility.
Build Origination Partnerships

Support partners through each stage of the transaction process to ensure a smooth client experience
Marketing and Consumer Education

Provide input on messaging and content to help explain the Cash‑Out program in clear, accessible terms

Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams to streamline processes and improve partner experience
Gather feedback from the field to inform product development and marketing strategy
Contribute insights to improve Cedar’s cash‑out workflows, materials, and overall adoption
What We Need
We’re looking for a knowledgeable, relationship‑driven professional who understands how real estate transactions work and enjoys helping homeowners and agents navigate new financial solutions. The right candidate combines sales instincts with strong organizational and operational skills. Ideally, you have experience building HELOC, Reverse Mortgage, or Home Equity Investment direct‑to‑consumer sales channels and partnership sales channels.
