Position Summary
This is a sales-oriented position that requires advanced communication skills and thorough knowledge of insurance products available through our agency. Capable of pursuing and closing sales of new and exciting commercial lines accounts and retaining assigned business books. Prospectfornewbusinessfromexistingclientsandidentifiedtargetgroups.
Contactprospectsforthepurposeofprovidingaquoteandmakingsalesappointments.
Surveyprospectstodetermineinsuranceneeds,inspectingcurrentinsurancepolicies,riskmanagementplans,property,productsandrecords.
Collectdetailedriskandunderwritinginformationincludingsurveydataandlosshistory.
Developanddeliverformalproposalsofinsuranceincludingdetailsofcoverage's,limits,deductiblesandotherpertinentinformation.
WorkwithAccountmanagementservicepersonand/orteamtomarketandcompletecompanysubmissionsandselectionofpotentialmarkets.
Conductclientandprospectappointmentscommunicatingproposalsandrenewals,explainingdetailsandcommunicatingdesiretoconductbusiness.
IntroduceAccountManagertoclientsandrequestthatservicecallsbedirectedtothemandforwardallservicerelatedcallstoassignedAccountManager.
Stayinformedofallclaimsorserviceissuesandbecomeinvolvedinresolutionwhenrequired.
Participateinrenewals,whenappropriate,byreviewingexpirationlistingwithAccountManagertodetermineappropriateactionandcollectionofinformationtopreparerenewalsubmissions.
Maintainproductionreportsandattendallsalesmeetingsasrequired.
Promoteagencyandinsuranceindustryinthecommunity.
Keepinformedofindustrydevelopmentsthroughreviewoftradepressandbyattendinginsurancecarriertrainingmeetingsonnewproducts,etc.
Performotherspecificdutiesandprojectsasassignedbyagencymanagement.
