Position Summary

This is a sales-oriented position that requires advanced communication skills and thorough knowledge of insurance products available through our agency. Capable of pursuing and closing sales of new and exciting commercial lines accounts and retaining assigned business books. Essential Duties and Responsibilities AchieveobjectivesestablishedinannualClientAdvisorsalesplan.

Prospectfornewbusinessfromexistingclientsandidentifiedtargetgroups.

Contactprospectsforthepurposeofprovidingaquoteandmakingsalesappointments.

Surveyprospectstodetermineinsuranceneeds,inspectingcurrentinsurancepolicies,riskmanagementplans,property,productsandrecords.

Collectdetailedriskandunderwritinginformationincludingsurveydataandlosshistory.

Developanddeliverformalproposalsofinsuranceincludingdetailsofcoverage's,limits,deductiblesandotherpertinentinformation.

WorkwithAccountmanagementservicepersonand/orteamtomarketandcompletecompanysubmissionsandselectionofpotentialmarkets.

Conductclientandprospectappointmentscommunicatingproposalsandrenewals,explainingdetailsandcommunicatingdesiretoconductbusiness.

IntroduceAccountManagertoclientsandrequestthatservicecallsbedirectedtothemandforwardallservicerelatedcallstoassignedAccountManager.

Stayinformedofallclaimsorserviceissuesandbecomeinvolvedinresolutionwhenrequired.

Participateinrenewals,whenappropriate,byreviewingexpirationlistingwithAccountManagertodetermineappropriateactionandcollectionofinformationtopreparerenewalsubmissions.

Maintainproductionreportsandattendallsalesmeetingsasrequired.

Promoteagencyandinsuranceindustryinthecommunity.

Keepinformedofindustrydevelopmentsthroughreviewoftradepressandbyattendinginsurancecarriertrainingmeetingsonnewproducts,etc.

Performotherspecificdutiesandprojectsasassignedbyagencymanagement.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Collegedegreefromafour-yearuniversity,orequivalentcombinationofeducationandexperience

Experienceininsurancepreferred

Experienceincommercialpropertyandcasualty)insurancewithlargerandmorecomplexmiddlemarketclientsandrisksispreferred

Licenses or Certifications ActiveColoradoPropertyandCasualtylicenserequired;ColoradoLife&Healthlicensedesired

CIC,CPCUdesignationpreferred
