Position Overview The Market Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering volume, distribution, and merchandising performance across the assigned market covering all channels of business, both on and off-premise.
This is a field-based role based in Upstate New York
Primary Responsibilities
Manage Sovereign's brand portfolio within assigned market
Plan & implement sales programming in all markets
Ensure POS and other marketing assets are utilized in the field with correct programs
Merchandising and building displays
Implement creative programs to activate the consumer, including product sampling and demos
Spend time each month surveying the market to ensure that distribution, pricing, POS, displays, programs, menus, and ads are executed to standard
Travel within territory to actively engage accountsOther responsibilities as needed
Qualifications & Experience
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal, including strong presentation skills
Organizational skills
Ability to work independently with little direction or supervision; “self-starter”
Willing to be very “hands-on” to get the job accomplished.
Proficient in Microsoft suite including Excel, Word, and Power Point
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive and travel 4-5 days per week required
Minimum 1-2 years experience in the wine and spirits industry

Frequently required to talk and hear
Frequently required to lift/transport up to 50 pounds

The base compensation for the position is: $65,000-75,000
