As thePlans and Strategy Lead (PSL)supporting a national security program space warfighting mission, you willbe responsible forexecutingJoint Planning Processes (JPP) andCombatant Command (COCOM)processes totransition desired strategies into dailyNOCoperations.You will evolveICparticipation and contributionsforinteragency exercisesbyassessingthequality and effectiveness of trainingand implementinginformedchangeswithin procedures, orders, plans and other deliverable products.As the seniorplanning team member, you willoverseethe capture ofreal world andtraining“lessons-learned”tofacilitateleadership anddecision-makerreview and approval. A successful candidate willdemonstrateexpert mission and space operations experience to develop criteria for considerationofeffects-based operations against threats toICsystems.Additional, the PSL will ensure teamlogisticalsupportforcontingency operationsplanning meetingsandworkshopsforICand external partners’leadership.
Responsibilities: Lead teamshapingofstrategicorders, reports and otherplansdocumentswithsenior experienceimplementingAdaptive Planning andExecution (APEX) and Joint Operational Planning andExecution Systems (JOPES)planningmethodologies
Development TTPs, COAsandcriteria fortheoptimizationof effect-based operations
Adaptplans and proceduresin consideration ofongoing integration of Indication and Warning(I&W)systems and toolcapabilities andadviseintegration efforts
Determineeffectiveness of currentprocedures and system capabilities;compile “lessons learned” frombothreal-worldeventsand exercisesfor improvedprocedural changes
Maintain Awareness of current high-interest terrestrial and space-based activity effecting space domain,threat pattern of behavioras well asassetcollectionand mission priorities
Plan,monitorand prioritizeoptimaleffects-based operations against threat toICassets
Providelogisticalsupport for contingency operations planning meetings and workshops
Identifyand inform decision-makers ofany system, proceduralor intelligence gapsandassumptions that may pose a risk to mission success
Work full-time on-site at a government facility inSpringfield,VA
