Biotech Patent Agent

Overview : This dynamic law firm is seeking an experienced Biotech Patent Agent from a top U.S. law firm with a superb biotechnology and life sciences background.

Responsibilities

• Respond to U.S. office actions with the USPTO
• Conduct prior art and freedom‑to‑operate searches for patentability and freedom‑to‑operate analysis
• Draft high‑quality U.S. patent applications
• Be an integral member of the team and invest in attorneys with both mentorship and professional growth

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will have a Biology‑related PhD
• Must be eligible for USPTO admissions
• Superior academic credentials required
• Outstanding writing ability is required
• 3+ years of top law firm patent prosecution experience in a broad range of biology applications, which may include molecular and cellular biology, genetics, and/or immunology

Anticipated Base Salary Range

The anticipated base salary range is $120,000–160,000 per year. Actual salary will depend on several factors including but not limited to qualifications, job‑related skills, and relevant experience.
