Order Entry Specialist
We are seeking an Order Entry Specialist to join our team, where we specialize in American-made medical equipment and laboratory products for various industries such as pathology, histology, necropsy, autopsy, and mortuary sectors. This role is critical as the current specialist is transitioning to a new opportunity, and we aim for a seamless handover through comprehensive training. Responsibilities: Enter purchase orders (POs) into the system and manage an average of 50-60 orders daily. Collaborate with a team to handle approximately 300+ emails per day, ensuring prompt and accurate responses. Operate within an ERP system, specifically Visual 11, but experience with any system similar to SAP is acceptable. Send out purchase acknowledgements and tracking information as needed. Assist with Amazon orders and manage incoming phone calls with professionalism. Process credit card orders and utilize Microsoft Teams for communication. Provide customer service support and follow-up, making up 20% of the role. Essential Skills: Minimum 1+ year of experience in an office setting or clerical role. ERP system experience, specifically Visual 11 or similar. Strong computer skills and proficiency in the MS Office Suite, including Outlook email. Ability to manage 3-4 email chains simultaneously. Experience with purchase orders and order entry. Strong communication skills and customer service experience. Experience in a manufacturing company environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Data entry and administrative experience. Professionalism and strong attention to detail. Ability to learn quickly and support the warranty and service team efficiently. Work Environment: The position is based in an office setting within a manufacturing facility and is fully onsite. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Madison Heights, MI. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
