Senior Designer (San Francisco) Job at The Planet Group in San Francisco

Pay: $38-$43/hr depending on experience (W2 and benefit options)

Duration: 10 mo to start (potential to extend/ convert)

The Planet Group's well known beauty client is looking for a Senior Designer for their team.

The Senior Designer will collaborate closely with teams across Editorial, Visual Merchandising, Content Production, and Marketing to craft and deliver exceptional creative assets across retail, digital, and paid media.

Senior Designer Responsibilities

• Cross-collaborate to craft and deliver exceptional creative assets
• Research trends and develop concepts
• Concept sketches and storyboards
• Assist in development of shoot briefs and post-production briefs
• Assist in digital and print asset development, management and handoff
• Develop Figma templates

Senior Designer Qualifications

• 3+ years of design experience working with beauty, fashion and/or retail brands
• Strong proficiency in typography, color theory, and layout design
• Basic digital sketching skills (storyboarding)
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Figma
• Excellent organizational skills, time management and ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and disciplines
• Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas to peers and cross-functional partners
• Passion for the beauty industry and staying current with social media trends
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
• After Effects animation skills a plus
• Experience retouching and photo art direction a plus
• BA or BFA in Graphic Design or Communication Design (preferred)
