Job Title: Public Relations Senior Consultant
Location: San Francisco, CA- Hybrid schedule Duration: 5 month contract with potential to extend- 40 hours/weekly Pay Rate: $47.00-$52.00/hr
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic Public Relations Senior Consultant to help elevate its voice, visibility, and reputation during a period of significant transformation into a modern healthcare leader. In this high-impact role, you will support the Media Relations team in shaping strategic external communications that reach broad, influential audiences. From crafting compelling narratives to advising executive leaders, you will play a key role in amplifying the brand across national media, digital platforms, and key stakeholder channels.
This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced, purpose-driven Media Relations team that is redefining how oral health is understood, valued, and integrated within the broader healthcare landscape.
How You Will Make an Impact
• Develop and execute high-profile PR initiatives that strengthen brand relevance and reputation
• Create original editorial content for owned channels to drive meaningful audience engagement
• Draft press releases, talking points, briefing materials, and core messaging for major initiatives
• Provide media strategy and executive-level support for external visibility opportunities
• Develop thought leadership content across platforms such as LinkedIn, Forbes, and others
• Manage day-to-day PR operations to ensure timely, seamless execution of initiatives
• Own and maintain the editorial calendar in alignment with organizational priorities and news cycles
• Monitor media, social, and cultural trends to identify proactive storytelling opportunities
• Partner cross-functionally to surface compelling stories across the organization
• Compile and report quarterly metrics to demonstrate ROI and guide future PR strategy
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field
• 8+ years of public relations experience with a proven track record of impactful storytelling
• PR agency experience required; healthcare, tech, or regulated industry experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of PR best practices, emerging digital trends, and modern media tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work with minimal oversight
• Experience using Cision, PR Newswire, and similar media platforms
