Responsibilities
- Provides statewide team leadership, management and direction to Guardianship Options services, which includes Guardianship/Conservatorships, Personal Representative of Estate and Power of Attorney services.
- Guardianship Option programs manage health and financial affairs, coordinate ongoing care, and protect public benefits for vulnerable adults. Serve as one of the team leaders and collaboratively ensure implementation of the Older Adult Strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Business or related field.
- At least five years of experience in directing/managing services is required.
- Experience in guardianship, older adult services, disability services, service development, contract negotiation, collaborations and organization development is desirable.
- A driver's license is required.
- Understanding of basic accounting and investing procedures.
- Understanding of the courts probate system and knowledge of public benefits, such as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
- Technical knowledge of guardianship and conservator laws, COA standards, and investment practices to advise staff and clients and for office management.
- Excellent supervisory, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Position requires bonding eligibility.
Education
Bachelors of Human Services (preferred)
