Job Description:
The Director of Nursing – Surgical Services provides 24-hour leadership for perioperative departments, ensuring excellence in clinical quality, patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial performance. This role oversees high-volume surgical operations including 7 Main ORs, 2 GI Procedure Suites, and 3 da Vinci XI robotic systems.
Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or enrollment in an accredited BSN program. Active RN license. BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Minimum 5–7 years of clinical nursing experience. Minimum 3–5 years in nursing leadership/management. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated critical thinking, judgment, and ability to work independently.
Surgical Services Program Highlights: Oversight of OR, GI, PACU, Pre-Op, and Pre-Admission Testing Clinic. Leadership of ~100 clinical and support staff. Key specialties: GYN, urogynecology, urology, orthopedics, general surgery. Nationally recognized surgeons who proctor across the U.S.
