## ***Current Employees: If you are currently employed at any of the Universities of Wisconsin, log in to Workday to apply through the internal application process.***## **Position Title:**Communications Director## **Job Category:**Limited## **Employment Type:**Regular## **Job Profile:**Communications Director## **Job Duties:**The position is responsible to the Dean of the College for all activities related to Communications and marketing; public affairs; media relations; alumni relations; undergraduate recruitment; scholarship management; college events management; and marketing support for development.## **Key Job Responsibilities:*** Audits and directs day-to-day operational plans to align with strategic initiatives and to meet established objectives* Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees* Develops, implements, and monitors strategic communication initiatives for designated audiences and internal stakeholders to maximize engagement and strengthen collaboration efforts* Identifies, establishes, and directs media relationships and partnerships with internal and external sources* Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revived operational policies and procedures**Department:** The College Relations office within Letters & Science oversees a variety of administrative functions for the College. This includes anything that faces outwards to students, faculty, alumni, and the public. The Communications Director leads the four-person unit in marketing, media and alumni relations, scholarship management, undergraduate recruitment, and more, while serving on the Dean's top administrative staff for the College.**Compensation:** $95,000-$110,000
