Job Description Summary The Interface Analyst / Developer will provide support for new interfaces and the maintenance of the interfaces currently supported by the Interface Team. Additional responsibilities of the Interface Team include assessing the organizational needs, troubleshooting, supporting and recommending solutions to integration issues as they arise in a 24/7 environment.The Interface Analyst / Developer performs interface analysis, build and performance monitoring and reporting, training and system optimization to ensure the highest level of standardization, consistency and efficiency across the South Shore enterprise. He/she facilitates user departments and vendors to define the interface requirements, specifications and scope. He/she prepares and recommends technical documents needed to successfully deliver and support assigned projects.The Interface Analyst / Developer develops and programs the actual interfaces to/from various applications and/or data bases. Works with end users and IS staff to develop appropriate procedures to monitor the interfaces and ensures optimum system performance. He/she develops and monitors testing methodologies and plans designed to demonstrate interface effectiveness. He/she is responsible for updating interface specification documentation, participates in completing technical documentation, conversion plans and operational training procedures for enterprise staff.

Job Description Responsibilities

Perform interface analysis, build and performance monitoring and reporting, training and system optimization to ensure the highest level of standardization, consistency and efficiency across the South Shore enterprise

Facilitate user departments and vendors to define the interface requirements, specifications, and scope

Prepare and recommend technical documents needed to successfully deliver and support assigned projects

Develop and program the actual interfaces to/from various applications and/or data bases. Work with end users and IS staff to develop appropriate procedures to monitor the interfaces and ensure optimum system performance

Develop and monitor testing methodologies and plans designed to demonstrate interface effectiveness

Update interface specification documentation and participate in completing technical documentation, conversion plans, and operational training procedures for enterprise staff

Skills & Abilities

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with related knowledge in information systems

2 years of professional interface development experience in a healthcare environment

Ability/willingness to work 24/7 on-call hours as needed

Certified in (or experience with) Epic Bridges interfaces

Proficiency with Rhapsody or another integration engine

Experience with Workday interfaces preferred

Experience with Cleo and/or other SFTP solution desirable

Experience with APIs preferred

Familiarity with HIPAA, JCAHO, and other regulations that impact hospitals and clinics preferred
