AWS Cybersecurity Specialist

AWS cyber professionals understand adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures to produce intel that informs strategies and helps mitigate vulnerabilities. You will help tell the story to inform warfighter cybersecurity decisions and work with customers to solve problems using the latest software such as Ansible, Terraform, and Splunk. Through vulnerability assessments, monitoring, and testing, you will evaluate risk, make meaningful recommendations, and identify security gaps from an adversary perspective. In this role, you will impact Defense mission readiness by supporting the security, stability, and accessibility of AWS environments.

Responsibilities

Work with customers to solve problems using AWS environments and modern tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Splunk).

Perform vulnerability assessments, monitoring, and testing to evaluate risk and provide meaningful recommendations.

Monitor security environments and identify security gaps through the eyes of an adversary.

Support security, stability, and accessibility of AWS environments to enhance mission readiness.

You Have:

3+ years of experience providing cybersecurity support in an AWS GovCloud environment

2+ years of experience with DoD security technical implementation guides (STIGs), checklists, and testing

2+ years of experience performing Vulnerability Assessment and Incident Response analysis activities

2+ years of experience performing operating system continuous monitoring tasks

Experience with control implementations associated with RMF, FedRAMP, ICD 503, and DoD Information Levels, including applying them to IT designs to achieve system authorizations

Experience creating cybersecurity artifacts in support of authorization or compliance packages

Secret clearance

Associate's degree

Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:

Experience with cyber tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Splunk

Experience developing and reviewing ATO authorization packages in Xacta or eMASS

Knowledge of Air Force cybersecurity policies and procedures

Ability to work on a geographically dispersed team

Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance is required.
