Position Announcement: Pediatric Residency Program Director- Position Overview
Richmond University Medical Center, Staten Island, NY is seeking an accomplished and visionary Pediatric Residency Program Director to lead and advance our ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape physician education, mentor future pediatricians, and drive excellence in clinical training, scholarship, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the pediatric residency program in compliance with ACGME Institutional and Program Requirements
Ensure ongoing accreditation readiness, including oversight of self-studies, ADS reporting, and site visits
Lead curriculum development, evaluation, and continuous program improvement
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate residents and faculty
Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment emphasizing wellness and professionalism
Collaborate with departmental and institutional leadership on educational initiatives
Participate in clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity consistent with institutional expectations
Qualifications
MD or DO with board certification in Pediatrics
Eligibility for medical licensure in NY
Demonstrated experience in graduate medical education leadership (Associate/Assistant PD experience preferred)
Strong working knowledge of ACGME requirements
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Commitment to resident education, diversity, equity, and inclusion
