As a Software Development Director, you will lead the design and implementation of critical systems that power these products—from low-latency inference pipelines to platform APIs and orchestration layers. You will work across software and hardware boundaries to build production systems that are robust, maintainable, and deeply integrated with ML components. This role requires both strategic and tactical technical leadership. You will collaborate closely with researchers, product leads, and engineers across disciplines to shape system architecture, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and guide the team through deep technical decisions. You will own initiatives that have direct impact on product experience, scalability, and team velocity. This position is remote. You’ll make an impact by: Lead architecture and development of complex, high-scale systems Drive technical decisions and trade-offs across multiple domains (infra, ML, product) Collaborate across teams to align long-term platform and product direction Set engineering standards for code quality, design, and operational excellence Mentor and support growth of engineers across the team You will win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications:

6+ years of professional software development experience Experience designing and scaling distributed systems in production environments Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java) Strong understanding of systems architecture, observability, and deployment best practices Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical initiative

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ML model serving or AI product integration Prior ownership of mission-critical systems with high availability requirements Background in performance engineering or systems optimization Experience mentoring senior engineers or leading architectural review

The pay range for this position is $267,667 - $353,516 plus incentives. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location. About the Company
