A Director Of Operations / Head Of Operations / Operational Excellence Director is required to join an industry leader in Union City, CA.
The successful Director Of Operations / Head Of Operations / Operational Excellence Director will come from a strong operations management background, with expertise in overseeing large-scale projects, process optimization, and cross-functional team leadership.
Package:
$180k - $250k (Dependent on experience and tenure)

Director Of Operations / Head Of Operations / Operational Excellence Director Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Lead, manage, and ensure accountability for Field/Shop Superintendents, Production Project Management, Safety, Fleet, and Facilities.
Support division leaders in daily operations across mechanical, plumbing, controls, and service departments.
Streamline processes to ensure timely project delivery, adherence to budgets, and maintaining quality standards.
Standardize operational workflows to enhance consistency, scalability, and profitability.
Implement lean construction principles, automation, prefabrication, and sustainable practices to improve efficiency.
Support project managers in scheduling, resource management, and risk mitigation, while ensuring job cost tracking and cash flow management.
Mentor and develop management staff, including Project Executives, Department Heads, and Superintendents.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, QA/QC protocols, and resolve operational issues efficiently with vendors and clients.
Director Of Operations / Head Of Operations / Operational Excellence Director Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in companies specializing in MEP trades, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or operations management role.
Proven expertise in managing large-scale projects and knowledge of construction technology platforms (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, MS Project, ERP systems).
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
PMP, PE, or equivalent certifications.
Experience in plan spec, design-build, or integrated project delivery (IPD) environments.
Experience in the HCAI vertical market and working with Stratus.
