Job Summary The Senior Business Analyst for Demand Deposit Accounts (DDA) will support the development of an in-house DDA processing platform. This role requires deep, hands-on experience across U.S. banking DDA products, including Checking, Savings, and Money Market Accounts (MMAs). The analyst will translate complex operational and regulatory banking requirements into actionable specifications that guide product, engineering, and compliance teams throughout the full software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Requirements & Platform Definition Lead the creation and refinement of business, functional, and nonfunctional requirements for a bank-owned DDA platform. Serve as the subject matter expert across Checking, Savings, and Money Market Accounts. Define behaviors, posting rules, and processing logic for DDA lifecycle events. Translate business needs into user stories, workflows, data requirements, and acceptance criteria. Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment
Partner with product, operations, compliance, and engineering teams to influence platform architecture and solution design. Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and cross-functional impacts across DDA capabilities. Facilitate discussions with internal stakeholders to ensure clarity, alignment, and delivery readiness. Lifecycle Support & Testing
Support solution design reviews and ensure requirements are fully understood by engineering teams. Assist with test planning, functional validation, UAT execution, and implementation readiness. Ensure alignment between end-to-end business processes and platform functionality. Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in U.S. banking. Deep, hands-on experience with DDA processing — including operational rules, posting logic, and account behavior — beyond high-level product knowledge. Direct experience working with core banking systems or DDA processing platforms. Experience supporting platform builds, digital transformations, or core modernization initiatives. Strong skills translating business needs into clear requirements for engineering teams. Excellent documentation abilities: BRDs, FRDs, user stories, workflows, and process maps. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enterprise banking platform design or greenfield DDA builds. Background supporting large-scale modernization or core conversion programs. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and operational nuances related to DDA products.
