* Minimum of seven years of professional work experience in writing (specifically academic writing) and editing, communications, or similar professional or academic work.* Ability to operate effectively with people at a range of levels, both internal and external to the organization.* Proven strategic and creative thinking in fostering a diversity of thought, perspective, and background; inclusive environments; faculty and leadership development; and supporting grant applications and pilot programs.* Excellent written and oral communication skills; adept at interpreting data, presenting findings clearly, and tailoring communication to varied audiences.* Demonstrated experience developing and implementing training and workshops that foster a diverse and inclusive environment that promotes rigorous inquiry.* Strong facilitation, presentation, relationship-building skills including, ability to develop and support leaders across the organization; able to influence decisions and effective actions at senior management levels.* Outstanding research (qualitative and quantitative), analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities, with extensive experience using data to inform program development and measure program impact.* A successful track record working effectively within a large university system and building alignment in a cross-functional and team environment.* Demonstrated experience in strategic planning within a university environment.* Proficient with office software (Microsoft 365 and SAAS products), CMS-based email deployment, and web content updates.* Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively, showing initiative, professionalism, and discretion with confidential information.* Skilled at managing complex matters, multiple priorities, and tight deadlines, maintaining attention to detail, tact, and a calm, positive attitude under pressure.* Proven track record effectively reviewing, prioritizing, and delivering high-quality work, both autonomously and as part of a team.* Standard office environment.* Hybrid work schedule, which includes in-office presence multiple days a week.* Work evenings and weekends as needed.* Travel to campus and/or non-campus locations for University business.* Ability to use computers extensively throughout the workday.* Ability to stand for 2 to 4 hours.* This position is located on the University’s main Hyde Park campus.When applying, the document(s) **MUST** be uploaded via the **My Experience** page, in the section titled **Application Documents** of the application.The University of Chicago is an urban research university that has driven new ways of thinking since 1890.
