We are seeking a dedicated and energetic
Activities Director
to support the implementation of engaging and person-centered activity programs for our residents. This role is essential in promoting
resident engagement ,
social interaction , and
quality of life
through recreational activities and events. A strong team-player mindset and passion for senior care are a must. Responsibilities
Assist residents to and from activities and encourage full participation Lead group and one-on-one activities that promote cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being Accurately document attendance and participation for all activities Support the coordination and facilitation of arts and crafts programs Maintain volunteer records and assist with volunteer coordination Follow resident care plans and adapt activities to meet individual needs Distribute and explain monthly activity calendars to all residents Assist with decorating for holidays and special occasions Recognize and celebrate resident birthdays as part of a recognition program Participate in community outings, events, and external appointments Support the operation of the resident store, restocking as needed Promptly report resident incidents, injuries, or behavioral concerns to appropriate staff Report any personal injuries or safety concerns to management immediately Observe and report maintenance issues or equipment needs Attend all staff meetings and required in-service training sessions Perform additional duties as assigned by the administrator Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Must complete at least 10 hours of in-service training annually related to recreation/activities
