You will be regularly interacting with executive management on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers, and coordinating actions and programs with multiple departments and teams to achieve specific plans and goals.In the first year, you’ll be expected to execute and continuously improve an integrated safety program at Lyten, which includes managing a safety committee, processing workman’s compensation, providing safety guidance to employees, ensuring code compliance with regulatory agencies, managing chemical waste disposal. Additionally, you will be expected to build and implement an environmental emissions monitoring program across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.**Responsibilities:*** Be responsible for the development, planning and implementation of environmental health and safety policies and procedures in a startup environment.* Manage and partner with facility management in conducting job hazard analysis and equipment/process risk assessments* Manage the incident investigation program and provide direction and support to site management* Assist in monitoring contractors and construction activities to ensure safe work practices are being followed* Coordinate site emergency response activities and training* Manage and coordinate company safety committee meetings* Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety* Handle all contact with appropriate agencies* Develop and oversee EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) training programs* Promote employee awareness on matters of health, safety, and environment.* Interface with equipment engineering on new equipment design reviews and risk assessments for conformance or compliance modifications* Ensure appropriate corrective action is taken where health and safety hazards exist* Manage exempt/professional employees responsible for developing and/or administering ongoing work processes* Establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments to subordinate professionals* Develop, modify, and execute policies that effect immediate operations, with the potential for company-wide effects* Be responsible for filing compliance documents including HMBP, CERS* Ability to identify improvement opportunities, and develop specific and deliberate ways to improve* Ability to build trust with colleagues, and work effectively across functions**Minimum Requirements:*** Doctorate degree in a relevant technical field AND 7+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety leading multidisciplinary projects where scope requires reliance on the technical experience of other team members OR Master's degree in a relevant technical field AND 9+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety leading multidisciplinary projects where scope requires reliance on the technical experience of other team members OR Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field AND 11+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety, facilities development leading multidisciplinary projects where scope requires reliance on the technical experience of other team members* 7+ years of management experience* Strong knowledge of Environmental, health and safety regulatory requirements, programs and methods* Strong knowledge of requirements of certified management systems related to environmental, safety and health* Strong knowledge of Federal, State and Local safety and environmental laws and regulations. (OSHA, EPA, DOT, FAA, etc., and other applicable local requirements)* Experience in EHS management system implementation, risk assessment, supervision, planning, scheduling, budgeting, project report preparation* Experience performing EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) audits* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership* Strong knowledge of manufacturing process using inert and flammable gases**Compensations Range:**The expected base salary range for this position is between$170,700.00 - $256,100.00The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.**Disclosures:****Pay Transparency Disclosure:**This compensation and benefits information is based on Lyten’s estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.
