The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify). General Summary of Job Responsibilities

Consumers Energy is seeking an innovative and strategic Executive Director of IT to lead all technology and digital initiatives supporting our Customer Experience and Economic Growth organization which is focused on ensuring we are customer-focused and every interaction delivers and exceptional experience. This critical leadership role will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of digital solutions that empower customer engagement, support economic development, and accelerate our digital transformation. The Executive Director will collaborate closely with senior business leaders to deliver technology solutions that enhance customer experience, enable business growth, and ensure operational excellence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Administration and ownership of cost of service for the function and how it impacts the enterprises budget and company finances. Foster a culture of cost optimization and waste elimination across the portfolio/sub-function Maintain and evolve an IT environment that is efficient, scalable, and secure; meets all regulatory requirements for Company and the clients supported. Lead the vendor management and contract negotiation for enterprise IT services Develop and endorse IT standards, IT architecture, and guidelines Drive digital transformation by removing traditional barriers to change (e.g., outdated organizational structures, complex departmental processes, current thinking and traditional mindsets) Inspire the organization to reform internal practices to be able to harness new technology opportunities quickly and effectively. Influence strategic partners to support building digital dexterity as an enterprise-wide capability Oversee development and implementation of IT portfolio(s) infrastructure, application and/or services through the entire lifecycle Direct leaders on incorporating digital trends and understands the implications for their business. Know how to leverage new technologies and take effective action quickly. Maintain awareness of and insight into enterprise-wide digital strategies. Build roadmaps in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders Direct IT initiatives and conducts program and project reviews Other duties as assigned or may be necessary Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Bachelor's degree in IT or related field and

12+

years of extensive experience managing an enterprise IT environment that encompasses wide area network services, directory and messaging services, desktop computing, enterprise applications, and mobile solutions. Experience developing and implementing IT roadmaps for new technology initiatives. [OR]

Associate's degreein IT or related field and

14+ years of extensive experience managing an enterprise IT environment that encompasses wide area network services, directory and messaging services, desktop computing, enterprise applications, and mobile solutions. Experience developing and implementing IT roadmaps for new technology initiatives. [OR]

High School diploma and 16+ years of extensive experience managing an enterprise IT environment that encompasses wide area network services, directory and messaging services, desktop computing, enterprise applications, and mobile solutions.
